ICROSS prepares new poverty awareness campaign

ICROSS awareness campaign 2012-2013 Following the great success of the Africa awakes exhibition launched by Manuel Scrima, we are preparing the next International series of exhibitions. The First series of International awareness programmes created by ICROSS and Manuel Scrima were followed by AFRICA AWAKES. This series of multi media events was created by Manuel Scrima. It was so successful that the 24 month project toured the World for five years. For more on Africa awakes see www.africa-awakes.com Following growing public demand the exhibition was asked to return. Manuel has arrived in Kenya to create an exciting new vision working with local creative teams to plan the next awareness campaign. The new initiative being planned is to challenge assumptions about poverty and educate people about Africa and how they can change the World. Manuel who is developing the new series of exhibitions has funded the new campaign himself. One part of the exciting new initiative is getting tje very poor to express their own story themselves. Anyone wanting to support or get involved in the new series of exhibitions donating , time skills, technical support please et in touch with us at director@icrossinternational.org We are developing an interactive web based resource as part of the new exhibitions ( yet to be named ) Michael Meegan will write the text for the forthcoming book that will accompany the exhibitions. Dr Michael Meegan said today that “ Manuel brings passion and vision to the important challenge of teaching people that development is working and long term change is happening.
