A loving person is one who is awakened and transformed into empathy. Mike Meegan

A loving person is one who is awakened and transformed into empathy.
Mike Meegan

All God wants of man is a compassionate heart.
Mike Meegan

Do exactly what you would do if you felt most loved and cherished.
Michael Meegan

All life, every living thing is a word for God in His mystery .
Michael Meegan

One one thing is expecte of you, and that is that you should come out
of yourself and love with all your being and all your light without stopping.
Michael Meegan

God is at home and is content, it is we who are looking and are not
at one in ourselves.
Michael Meegan

In order to create and to heal, to do and to serve, ..to act we
need detachment.
Michael Meegan

Even if we were offered everything that exists, it is nothing
compared to the freedom and power of being loved.
Michael Meegan

If you only utter a single prayer in this life let it be Thanks,
with all your heart
Michael Meegan

Man goes far away or near but God never goes far-off; he is always
standing close at hand, and even if he cannot stay within he goes no
further than the door.
Michael Meegan

One person who has mastered life is better than a thousand persons who
have mastered only the contents of books, but no one can get anything
out of life without God.
Meister Eckhart

The best thing you can say is the thing that you have not uttered,
Michael Meegan

The eye with which I see God is the same eye with which God sees me.
Meister Eckhart

The knower and the known are one. Simple people imagine that they
should see God as if he stood there and they here. This is not so. God
and I, we are one in knowledge.
Meister Eckhart

The more we possess the less we have
Michael Meegan

The more we own the less we have
Mike Meegan

The outward man is the swinging door; the inner man is the still hinge.
Meister Eckhart

The outward efforts will never be insignificant if the inner light is great.
Michael Meegan

The price of doing nothing is far greater than the cost of error.
Michael Meegan

There exists only the present instant... a Now which always and
without end is itself new. There is no yesterday nor any tomorrow, but
only Now, as it was a thousand years ago and as it will be a thousand
years hence.
Meister Eckhart

To be full of things is to be empty of what matters. To be empty of
things is to be full of freedom.
Michael Meegan

It is in crisis we find ourselves, so when we are broken then this
light is nearest to us.
Michael Meegan

We are celebrating the feast of the Eternal Birth which God the Father
has borne and never ceases to bear in all eternity... But if it takes
not place in me, what avails it? Everything lies in this, that it
should take place in me.
Michael Meegan

What a man takes in by contemplation, that he pours out in love.
Meister Eckhart

What we plant in the soil of contemplation, we shall reap in the
harvest of action.
Meister Eckhart

When you are defeated it is your own attitude that is wrong.
Michael Meegan

Words take their meaning from the original word.
Michael Meegan

You may call God truth, you may call God ghope. But the best name for
God is love.

Christmas message from Michael Meegan

This year has been a fantastic adventure for us all. It has seen many challenges and changes, dscoveries and blessings. 2010 has seen increased interest in the books we have published with www.eye-books.com and the feedback from over 20 countries has been wonderful. Together with our team, I have been able to respond to over 2,000 personal emails this year and the workshops on stillness have been a great success. In 2011 more seminars are being planned in response to the growing number of requests.

We are planning in the comng months to share podcasts and selected readings from of some of the books. This togeter with th forthcoming The Tribe of One published by eye books will be released in April 2011. On behalf of all of us her I would like to thank you for the overwhelming support and encouragement , feedback and response to the reflections. Following readers suggestions we are going to develop audio versions of "ALL WILL BE WELL" and "Changing the World" in partnership with Eye Books.

On behalf of all of us here, I wish you a Christmas blessed by Grace,

May you be touched by the Sacred,
filled with compassion, free of anxiety,

May you be surrounded by what matters, what lasts.
May you be joy, complete within yourself,
calm in your private self, amazed by the gift of every hour.

May you see the presence of light living within within you and
may your life bring love into the world. May you be grateful and giving,

May you be well, and full of wonder,
May the grace of love be with you and may it touch all those around you.
Be blessed.

"There is so much noise in our lives that we need to understand what’s getting in the way and how to experience the pleasure of unlimited power in our lives"
Mike Meegan

"This coding of our software exists on the motherboard of all our waking thoughts. It is also the background to all our dreams, fantasies and imaginings. More importantly the map of the world as it exists in our head is constantly spinning away. It is the source of all our fears, self doubt and anxiety. The map we are using to walk around with every minute of the day contains in it the defaults that cause all of our unhappiness." Michael Meegan

" If we have developed a learned, habitual behaviour, it is because we have continually referred to the same set of reactions and responses to outside conditions. Many people in relationships tend to make the same mistakes for the same reason. People who become used to arguing and shouting have falling into rigid response mechanisms that are predictable because they exist within our map; “This is how I deal with criticism or a comment about me”, or “You’re making me angry and you’re not listening so I’m going to yell at you”. " Mike Meegan

" Because the map exists at a deeply subconscious level we often use a language that unconsciously says this cannot change because I am the map. Because we are not aware, we associate the thoughts that are occurring in our heads as indivisible from ourselves. If we think that we are the map of interpreting everything, then we begin using the language “I cannot change, this is who I am", “I always respond this way”, “I grew up this way”, “It’s part of my character”. Mike Meegan

"The more we become conscious of how we use pre-grasped ideas of interaction, pre-determined sets of responses and habitual ways of non-constructive thinking, the more we can improve and change."
Michael Meegan

"We begin to cement the way in which we think into our persona in the same way that biological traits are locked into our DNA genetic makeup. However, all of these ways in which we deal with external experience are not fixed - they are learned. The purpose of this book is to show that all of us have the power to free ourselves from the “map trap”. We have the capacity not to be prisoners of the past and to be the map makers of our own future. Often the deeply embedded software that exists on the motherboard of our thought process gets in the way of personal growth and happiness"
Mike Meegan

" Like all maps, our map of the world gets outdated, the reason we have a matrix is to help us deal with the bloodiness of human experience. Our intention is to have an understanding of experience that deals with the world outside in a way that will help us. Much of the time however our maps guide us into the wrong places. The more we become conscious of how we use pre-grasped ideas of interaction, pre-determined sets of responses and habitual ways of non-constructive thinking, the more we can improve and change. These sets of references and coordinates determine all our emotional triggering.
They preset how we make judgements and how we take meaning from the different things that happen around us. This book is about seeing the parts of the map that lie in the recesses of our mind and learning to look at them in a different way." The Tribe of One, Mike Meegan, eye books

" Since you woke up this morning you have had hundreds of thoughts, you have drawn from your memory banks, you have formed ideas, and listened to conversations. In the process of those conversations you have translated words that were spoken into meanings that you have heard. You have heard these words carried through sound waves translated into electronic impulses in your head. These have been carried by chemical electrical impulse into different parts of your brain. By the time they reach your internal translation, you have brought to each of those words your own use of language. The way in which you take meaning, depends on your expanse of knowledge, background, context and recollection. It depends on your cognition, wisdom and energy. In other words it depends on your map"
